I would like to find out when they started using this barrel marking. If you have an 1894 rifle with this marking and it is below s/n 849277, would you give me the s/n ( even if it just the first 3 digits )? Use pm or e-mail.
Please include if it is round or octagon barrel rifle or a carbine.

Just an up-date on this particular caliber marking on the 1894 guns.
the earliest s/n with this marking to date is 803348 = 1915.
