I have all three books as well. Like all literature out there on the subject of Winchesters, they are not perfect, but are a nice compliment to what else is available. I have gone to them numerous times to check this and check that, cross reference them with other material. Glad I bought them.
I too hope he is on the "right side" of the grass. I think if he wasn’t though, we’d have heard otherwise by now.

I used to see Art and his brother at the Big Reno show on a regualr basis, but apprearntly Lou Fascio said or did something that Art did not like, and that was the last time I saw him. Art was a great guy, and always had many bins full of original parts.

I haven’t noticed him at any guns hows here in Phoenix 1475 but I will certainly keep a look out. Thanks. Seems like I need to get these books and learn something and have excellent reference material.. Perhaps we could start a little "reference" library of recommended Winchester literature.
Thx guys

Art’s books are definitely worth the $$.No, they were not ever offered in hard cover.
As with most books about Winchesters, there are a number of statistical errors in his books.

This would explain his eastern carbine definition in the Rifle or carbine thread.
