I have a 94 carbine that has some interesting features.

1. serial #1052408, 38-55, no saddle ring, half magazine, carbine stock, standard carbine sights. The barrel is dated “20” under the forearm and has the marking Model 94 Winchester on the loading side under the rear sight and nickel steel barrel on the other side. The tang is marked Winchester trade mark made in U.S.A.  Any ideas on the manufacture date? I’m guessing 1928-1930.

You can click on the RESOURCES tab above and get the manufacture date based on the serial number.  (1929 in your example.)

Can you post a picture of the “20” on the bottom of the barrel? Interestingly enough, your Eastern Carbine is one of at least three identical guns that were all made in the same serial number range. Serial numbers 1050818 and 1052256 are identical to your gun (except possibly the barrel dates, which I do not have).

Bert,

I tried to load a couple from my phone but the files must be to big. If you give me your cell I’ll text them to you.

Jeff,

I do not have a cell phone that is capable of receiving text pictures. Please send them to my regular email address – [email protected]

Bert,

Thanks for the help! I was able to run some cast bullets through this carbine and it did very well! With the Wisconsin deer season approaching I’ll give this one a try.

Jeff
