I just bought a 1885 in Tulsa and I noticed now that I’m home some numbers are missing. Its a low wall .44 WCF Half round barrel 24″. Is there another place to find the serial number other than under the lever? I’m unloading the truck and just noticing

What numbers are on the lower tang?

In answer to your question, No, there is not another location for serial number.

Is it a 1st or a 2nd variation low-wall?

It’s a second variation I tried to get a picture of it, but you can only see a 64 I will try and visit one of my police buddy’s and see if they can lift it
