Rifle is a second model with a thumb print dust cover. Looks to be standard rifle in all aspects in very nice original condition. Rear sight has been changed. Unmarked 44-40. ATFW2840.JPGImage EnlargerLMDV2848.JPGImage EnlargerThanks for any help

I’m 90% sure it is 33230. I know they are not 6’s or 8’s. The other 10% is a 5.

Here are examples form my guns.

Here is one off of James Julias site and this makes me think its for sure 3’s not 5’s. I put up the original to compare.

If the thumb print dust cover is original the serial number has to be under 37000. T/R

33230 it is! I knew you guys would figure it out. Outstanding. BTW the barrel is 28″. I would pull the fore wood and look under but the screws look untouched and I’m don’t want to be the guy that buggered them. Cleaning rod was missing too. I’ll try to replace the rear sight and call it good. I guess a letter would help me get the correct sight.
