I have been working on some old "junker" Winchester rimfires. I like to take the stuff others have used and abused for years and put the pieces back together. After I make something out of parts and pieces, I donate the rifle to the local rod and gun club for the kids to shoot. So far I have put together 3 rifles, not pretty, but funtional.
I have noticed a lot of different sights on the Winchester bolt actions. Models 69 72 53 and so on. I am currently looking at some great Lyman peep sights on ebay. But, I am not sure what will fit on what.
I am currently trying to finish up a 69A and need a rear sight. Some Lyman sights on Ebay seem like they would fit but I am not positive. They also bring in some decent money because of the vintge and rareness.
Is there any online reference to all of the options and models. What I should be looking for or avoiding?
Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

You waited one whole day? Good thing you didnt call the IRS..you’d still be on hold.
Rimfirecentral.com winchester forum has extensive 69 info. Beware however, you might have to wait a couple hours. Guess we’re not all on retired.
