This is a 64A rifle that seller says was made in 1972-1973. I know very little about 64’s. Does the case look original to you folks??. Thanks, Eaglecase-colored-on-64.jpgImage Enlarger

No, it is not original.  The Model 64A was blued.  Somebody other than Winchester refinished it.

Thanks Bert. The seller says “Consignor states Winchester only made 500 Case Colored Receivers 64A”. Guess that is bogus. He has some other guns up that don’t look right either. Eagle

It is just amazing how dishonest some people are. Sometimes I feel they should be exposed and their name posted so no one deals with them. A black list of dishonest, dishonorable, misdealing, crooked gun dealers. I’m sick of them. I have seen a rash of misrepresented rifles lately at local shows and on line. Don’t know what to do when I see someone being taken advantage of.

I hear what you are saying,Vince. There are a lot of great people to deal with out there, but here of late the number of dishonest people seem to be on the rise.

The “consignor” can state anything they want. Doesn’t mean it is true.
