Man seems like their are very few up for sale. I bought this Junker just to have one! How bad did I do?

Steve,
Solid Frame Model 55 Rifles are not very common. In my research survey, I have recorded a total of (690) Model 55 rifles. They statistically break down as follows;
Take Downs – 567 (82.17%)
Solid Frames – 123 (17.83).
If those percentages hold true for the entire 20,580 Model 55 Rifles manufactured, that would indicate that only 3,669 solid frames were made.
As for the price you paid, I believe that you did OK with it.

Sure will I haven’t received the gun yet. But should be in first of the week if they do their part quickly. I have a take down do you want the barrel date off it also. I didn’t send you the information on it because I bought it off GB too, and assumed you got the information off the listing.

Hello Bert,
I believe you already have the information on my Model 55.I had sent it to Harold McCullum back in the late 80’s or early 90’s when he was doing his research into the Model 55.
Just in case you do not have it I will send a PM to you with the information.
