Lock the doors, turn off the lights and TV. Park your car a few blocks away. Don’t answer the door. Gun police are on the way!
I did lock the door and turn out the lights after UPS left and I opened the box. The rifle came from a non shooter who had taken it in trade for some house painting. He said the bore was worn out and that had frightened other buyers away. Now, I am not as dumb as I look. M92’s in 44 have very shallow lands and grooves. I sent my $$$ and never looked back. So, I have been ever watchful for the police to come knocking at my door. BTW, this is one of my very favorite rifles. Oh yeah, I stole the ammo that goes with the rifle too. $400 for these two sealed boxes. Big Larry

You’ll sleep good tonight, Big Larry. All that time you’ve spent doing your “happy dance” should have you tired out good! Those boxes of ammo are probably worth more than several of the guns in my safe, congrats again!
I do spend to much time on the Net, but snow is on the ground here and that means no outdoor activities for me. I just get lucky at times. The ammo was on a gun site on the Net. I could not believe my eyes when I saw the ad. $400 for the pair. That ammo is worth more like $700 a box. The high speed box still had its label attached. The other one was a very early sealed box. I also have a drippy mint box dated 1915 that I bought for $350. I collect ammo for all my rifles and handguns. Gets pricey on occasion too. Big Larry

Nice ammo collection, Big Larry. I have a few boxes that were pretty old when I tossed them up on top of my loading bench 20+ years ago. Maybe I need to take a closer look at them.

Yes, some of the old ammo is quite valuable and expensive to buy. That is an old picture and I have added much more since then. I try to collect correct period boxes dated to match my rifles and handguns. Some of the early stuff is dated. Big Larry
