Here is a post of a fella using 38 special brass, I believe a lathe is needed to turn the rims and cut an extractor groove. Hope this helps…..Worst case is taking it to a machine shop and have them run a couple hundred for you. The projectiles are fairly spendy but that’s just the price of admission! AR type brass catchers do work on these rifles, makes things a bit easier when trying to locate your spent casings.
