Do any of you happen to know when the first 25-20 Model 1892 went into the Factory Warehouse?

What information, if any, is available on the production dates of the 25-20 repeater cartridge? I am aware that the original 25-20 single shot cartridge is too long to work in the 1892 action. It seams that just necking down the 32-20 should have been quite simple. Is there any information on actual cartridge development? Thanks, Roger
