Roger, if you haven’t sent the data for your normal Model 53, I’l love to add it to my survey. You can email the info to [email protected] I would need the full serial number, TD or solid frame, caliber, and any other special features (i.e., stainless steel barrel).

Quick note.  The Model 92 not the 65 0r 53 was the gun purchased from the retired Winchester employee.  He said he purchased several guns from the “Winchester Store” at the plant.  He thought the guns were priced around $25.00.  Can you imagine buying a 92 0r a 71 for $25.00?  That’s what Heaven must be like!  Of course $25.00 in the 50’s was a tidy chunk.  I vaguely remember when my dad got his first $100.00 pay check and what a milestone that was!  I thank all of you for your input.  You guys are great!  RDB
