There are no factory records for the M64’s. If it were equipped with a factory peep site I would think it would have been the receiver mounted Lyman 56. I don’t think the upper tangs of the 64’s were tapped for peep site mounting.
If its checkered, it should have factory sling swivels as well. Is it 30 WCF?
Bert has done a lot of research on the 64 so he will likely correct me if I am wrong.

All of the pre-WW II production Model 64 Rifles were factory drilled & tapped for a tang sight.
There are Polishing Room (PR) serialization rercords for your Model 64, but sadly, no warehouse ledger records. The PR records tell us that your Model 64 was serialized (manufactured) in November of 1935.
Can you tell me what caliber it is, and which variation it is?
