Did anyone catch # 529410416 on Gun Broker today? A 95% 1929 vintage M94 SRC in .32 WS. Now, the carbine went for a measly $2,6??.00. Considering the fact it had a stainless bbl. with most all the finish, someone stole it at that price.   Big Larry (Broke,Cry in Cedar City).CryCryCry

The economy sucks. This will change with a Trump  in office. Wait to sell unless you have to.

I thought about that rifle all night last night. I have a gun $$$ reserve and I should have bid on it. That makes the fourth SS I have turned down. A real nice M92 at a Las Vegas gun show, a M52, and a real sweet M56 at a California show. Well, like the man said, “you can’t have them all”. CJ57, you are a lucky man indeed.   Big Larry

Probably well over $4,000 I would imagine. They are pretty much the rarest of the rare. Same on Gun Broker.  Big Larry

I too have seen these rifles in SS. I think the rarest would be the M56 22 rifle. Big Larry

Larry,

I found mine about 25yrs ago, a gent took it to a gun shop and was offered $100, I offered $200 before I saw it had a SS barrel, because it was so clean! Well he even tossed in the case. Back then a nice clean carbine from that time frame would go $300-400

Thanks. I really am after but one SS rifle. A M52 Speedlock from 1929-1931. Preferably a heavyweight, but all I have ever seen are standards. I already have the scarcer Nickel Steel heavyweight from 1931. Been looking for quite some time now and everyone I find has been destroyed beyond restoration. Big Larry

I always dreamt of theses deals (stll do) but ever since the mid 70’s , starting collecting always seem to pay retail if I like a gun enough. Only great deal I ever got was trading a bottle of Whiskey for a ratty 94 SRC 30 WCF about 20 years ago, and trading that into a gunstore for the same thing in 32-40 but refinished , rough bore and ring missing . So Non collector , but Mutually good deal as the store owner could sell the 30-30 to hunters and I prefer 32-40. One of the few Carbines I have left , after trading most for OBR

Larry,

In my mind it’s impossible to be “Broke” in Cedar City! This is truly God’s Country.
