OfflineI believe 1909 is the correct date based on the polishing room records. I think Erin is on the right track with a replaced barrel. A barrel taken from another rifle will also have a WP proof as well. Is there a barrel date on the underside?

Would the bottom barrel date be visible without disassembly?
Usually the magazine tube must be removed to see the date. Probably not worth disturbing it at this point.
