OfflineThink it’s original configuration? Or a glorified Frankenchester? Very unique and rare if factory original. Too bad the stocks have been sanded/refinished. I believe it’s barely outside the letter able range to verify with Cody.

Very hard to say. A lot to suggest it isn’t original. The .35 WCF was not a cataloged chambering for a carbine. I have seen one M1895 SRC in .405 and rumor of a couple SRC’s in 35 WCF. The .405 I saw was a carbine (both front and back end). This one could simply be a SRC that had a M95 .35 WCF front end put on. It looks like it is a standard 24 inch barrel – which would be standard for the .35 WCF chambering. However, what I find most intriguing is that deluxe buttstock – which is a fancy carbine buttstock.

OfflineIt doesn’t meet my definition of a true hybrid in my opinion.
It simply looks like a deluxe carbine to me with a rifle forearm with sling eyes. Its a beauty for sure.
