I tried to search out the old post you mentioned. But I couldn’t seem to find it. You don’t happen to remember if anyone had some kind explanation as to why the hole is missing? It just seems quite odd to me. I don’t own the rifle in question. I’m just very curious about it.

Chris posted the link, I think this will clarify your questions. I’m curious how far apart the serial #’s are between your example and the old post…….

Thanks for taking the time to ask around about my 94. I still have yet to find anyone who has seen a similar example. The gun shoots great! Excellent bore after sitting around for who knows how long with that broken firing pin!
