You need to take a picture from the side so we can see the sight profile.

Here are the photos. You still need a good picture of the front sight. You can’t see any detail cause its so dark.

Any idea what you think a fair price would be? Rifle metal seems a bit worn to me. I have more pictures I could forward.

Maybe these pictures will help. This sight came off an 1892 .44 S.R.C. I have a “thing” about unusual sights and I bought the carbine just to get the sight off of it. I takes the place of the standard blade carbine sight and uses the standard sight pin to hold it in place. The base is contoured to match the barrel radius exactly. When in place it is almost impossible to tell it isn’t part of the barrel. Roger B
Thanks Chuck for the photoshop. Its a homemade ramp. They used a center punch to make the ramp matting. I assume the screw holds the ramp in the barrel which permanently killed the guns vale.

Gentleman,
I’m greatly appreciative of all your input and valuable knowledge. Since I do not have the rifle to obtain a better side view, I’m sorry.
But I agree that it appears to have been made from a center punch for designing the texture on the ramp towards the original site.
And as Bob has mention, I passed on the purchase of the rifle due to the appearance that the barrel is more than likely tapped.
Again, thanks to you all for sharing Chuck, Bert, Bob & Roger!
