The best part of having a few days off work before Christmas is getting a little time to play with some of your guns. I just love deluxe Winchesters.
Top gun is a 1892 deluxe 25-20
second from top is a 1892 carbine deluxe 25-20
thrid from top is a model 53 deluxe 25-20
bottom is a model 65 deluxe 218 bee
Started47,
Nice set of guns. If possible, could you forward the SN for the 25-20 TD rifle, would like to add it to my 1892 TD survey. That unchecked PG carbine is super cool. Cant say that I have seen one like that before.
Thanks,
Chris

Merry Christmas indeed,
Very nice collection of fine rifles. May I also ask for the SN of the PG carbine and a series of photos of the areas of stamped writing on each rifle. I am working on a survey of the total production of Model 1892’s and would like to add both examples into my data. And any other non deluxe 1892’s you might own also.
Thanks so much
Michael

Thanks so much Burt,
When you get done opening presents I might bug you for detail photos of the areas of stamped writing on each rifle. Very special rifles for sure!
Merry Christmas

Thanks Burt.
Youve got some nice looking guns there. I really like the PG carbines, one of those variants that catches my eye.

I think my absolute favorite buttstock/plate combination on a Winchester is the pistol grip carbine buttstock – with the standard carbine buttplate. Seems most carbines (e.g. Models 1892 or 1894) that were ordered with the pistol grip buttstock have either a rifle butt or shotgun butt. I really enjoy seeing the carbine posted here, outfitted exactly as per my dream special order preference. When I was a very young man, there was a lot of snobbery by collectors (and most anyone) toward the .25-20. I remember I heard the phrase on several occasions, “you can’t give a .25-20 away!” Times have changed, eh

Steve,
This one ought to make you wish you had been a lot less naughty throughout the past year… take note of the barrel markings!
