FWIW, I would lower the rear sight unless it truly is zero’ed at some particular distance. Being as high as it is the sight blade is under plenty of tension and just may take a set or it may snap. Tim

You are welcome, and yes, I did receive the serial number. It is right in the middle of a good sized batch of Fancy Sporting Rifles that are sandwhiched between two large batches of 45-70 caliber Line Guns.

A little history: I bought the gun in Lebanon, TN at a gun show. It was previously owned by a
country music star, now deceased.
