Two guys fought it out for a pretty decent gun.
Nice rifle, but about 12k after sales tax and shipping for a standard takedown rifle seems a bit steep to me.

This is what happens when two guys start slugging it out. It gets bloody. Good for sellers though.
Or perhaps just a case of Shill Bidding?
Sincerely,
Maverick

Honestly, I worry about that all the time on every auction site…even at in-person auctions I wonder what kinds of shenanigans the auction company has set up behind the scenes….easy to do and doubtful of any repercussions should you be caught…
I was recently watching a show about cars and car dealers telling stories about various things they’ve pulled.
Guy was telling how he got started selling cars on eBay and made lots of money was a top-rated seller for years. All because of Shill Bidding, he had multiple accounts and family members bidding on his listings. Got away with it for years until eBay finally figured it out. Something that got him caught was when if someone he knew won the final bid, he would cancel the sale and relist it rather quickly.
So what was his punishment? He can no longer sell cars on eBay. That’s it, no other recourse was dealt to him. So after doing eBay cars sales for a few years he then started being a legit car dealer.
Sincerely,
Maverick

I doubt lie H**l that he is now a “legit” car dealer… he already clearly showed us the color of his stripes

I’ve been guilty of shill bidding at some live and silent charity auctions but I don’t make a secret of it and every now and then I “win” and have to buy the item. Not quite the same but auctioneers love me because I’ll start or advance an item to help make the sale. Quite often the item shows up at a later charity auction.
