I can’t believe that people have bid this thing up to over $2,000.00 with more than a week left on the auction. It’s an obvious cut-down job in rather poor condition. It’s too bad that so many are uninformed and get burned…

Let’s see…

NO original finish on metal parts;
Barrel and magazine has been cut, as you already stated;
Finish on wood contains varnish on top of refinish;
Many replaced and damaged screws;
Poor wood to metal fit;
Metal is rough in may areas;
Gun is a rifle and not a carbine;
Not one of the most desirable calibres;

A parts gun and a poor one, at that. For example, with a cut barrel and an extremely poor job replacing the front sight, that is not salvageable; external metal parts in poor condition; wood not really salvageable. Maybe some internal parts can be scavenged; Could ‘maybe’ build a custom rifle using the action. Not worth much over $300 in my opinion, if that!

I notice it has a set trigger, which the seller does not mention..This would up the price for a parts gun, but not $ 2,000 dollars worth..

Very good — I did not notice the set trigger!
