Dear All
I just get from a old french man a nice Winchester 1885 Hight wall caliber 45-90 W C.F .
– 30 inches round barrel ( twist 1/32 ”) : Stamp marking #3 + Winchester + 45-90 WCF + A inside circle .
– No proof marks on barrel & receiver just marking under the tang PAT 7th OCT 79 + 88069 ( made in 1900-1901 )
– The wood are old , the receiver is very clean , look like not original assembly .
Could you please give me your advise …
Thanks a lot
Have a safe day , Patrick
Hello Patrick,
The original Winchester factory records confirm that serial number 88069 was originally a 45-90 WCF. Can you send me clear pictures of the rifle?
