I renewed my membership to WACA so I could look at old issues of The Collector magazine. When viewing the articles I was interested in, I could not copy them. Is this the case with any article in the magazine?

That is how it works with me to. I just get a blank page if I try to do a print screen. There are screen grab programs that will let you print or save anything displayed on the screen.

That’s the way it is – you cannot download the old issues. When they first started appearing one could download the entire issue, then edit to select the articles one was interested in. I was able to download and save most of 2005 through 2012 plus one from 1981. Someone must have realized that by making them non-downloadable only current members could view back issues. Perhaps that increases membership but in my case I was only interested in saving a handful of articles about specific models.

I am also only interested in certain articles so I am trying to see if some back issues are available if that is the only way.

The Executive Secretary has file copies of all the “Collector” magazines. Ask her real nicely and I’ll bet she will copy the back article that you need and it will only cost you .50 cents a page plus mailing cost…….
