Hi,
Thinking of branching the collection into Winchester and the following two guns are interesting to me. They look to me like honest guns and considering purchase in the $1500 range for each. Would you buy one or both of these for that price?

1873 44-40 3rd model. Serial number 283XXX B made in 1888. 24″ octagon barrel full magazine trap door stock with no cleaning rods

I would not buy them until you get better pictures. You can’t see what your buying. The one with the ammo in the background you can see good and looks like a second model 44.

Bob is right.  The pictures are under exposed because of the white background.  If you can get some pictures of the barrel address, serial numbers and caliber markings.  More close ups like the one with the ammo in the back.  My guess is that these are worth $1500 ea.

I agree that better photos are needed.  However, from what I can see, they both look promising – and likely worth $1500.
