to Winchester 1873 Collectors;
Well September 30 has come and gone without even one responce to my offer to you “Collectors” to acquire a very rare 1873. This is exactly what I thought would happen, and that’s why the short cut-off date. Now it will remain with me. Upon my passing it will be donated to either one of the NRA’s Museums or the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art’s, Arms and Armour Department. Both have been most helpful to me over the years that I’ve collected Winchester firearms. So if you “Collectors” of Winchester 1873’s want to see this rare ’73 in the future, you’ll have to check out one or the other of these fine museums. This will be well worth any effort on your part that you might care to make.

Apache,
I am just a hobbyist collecting used, but serviceable, Winchester 22’s. I must say that I, as someone who would never spend the kind of money some of these rare Winchesters bring, am somewhat pleased that your fine Winchester will possibly be on display for me and other to enjoy as opposed to being locked up as a safe-queen. Thank you.

Vince;
I hope to have this Smoothbore donated to the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art’s “Arms and Armour Department” after I croak. I hope you’ll make the effort to go see it. I also hope that I won’t be shoveling coal down below any time soon, but who knows. Anyway that’s above my pay grade.
