My father left me an 1873 Winchester and it has a “one of one thousand” engraved in the barrel.  Does this increase the value?

Yes, but only if it is a verified authentic (factory original) rifle.  Unfortunately, there are a fair number of known faked Model 1873 “One of One Thousand” rifes.  The serial number will help identify it.

Pictures and knowing the serial number would be useful in determining value.

Sincerely,

Maverick
