For you ’73 gurus,
When did the first 1873’s start showing up with proof marks? Was it about the same as the other models ……. 1905 or so?

Thanks Bob. An acquaintance called me about a M73 deluxe 32 cal. from 1883 that has proof marks on the barrel and receiver. I’m assuming it may have gone back to the factory for a re-barrel 1905 or later. Still need to run a search for him to see if it shows a later R&R.
