New to the Forum and appreciate the chance for Win knowledge and advice.

Looking at a 1/2 mag 92 that may have been cut down. Trying to figure what the proper, original attachment system for a 1/2 mag gun was. Have Pirkle’s book and have reviewed the mag section, but he doesn’t go into detail on the "fractional" length mags. This rifle seems to be held by the "long screw" thru the end cap. Is that correct, or is there supposed to be some other dovetail ring, or other attachment method? I have a 1/2 mag Mod 64 w/the exposed, i.e. ahead of the forearm, mag ring and the end cap w/the lip that turns into a slot in the bbl, so I am familiar w/ that system. Can anyone give me a description, or a source of photos/diagrams? I have tried Googling for photos, but no luck on 1/2 mags so far. Appreciate any info or suggestions. Thx.

1/2 mags were held in by a screw that went thru the mag tube/mag plug into a small hole in the bottom of the barrel
