Give it a good soak for a few days in Automatic Transmission Fluid. The anti corrosion properties may help free those screws.
Technically, the glass is always full; half liquid, half air....

I also have a 94 with a 1/2 round barrel that went through a fire. I got it to cycle. I put a crappy old butt stock on it. Still haven’t replaced the fore arm, but will eventually. It’s what you might call a conversation piece. I certainly won’t put any money into it.
