I have added them to my research notes. The front sight ramp on your rifle is a new variant that I had not ever seen before today. It is what I will refer to as a “transitional” style.

OK, here they are…
Early versus later production Model 65 front ramp sights. The shorter ramp with no sight hood groove was standard for approximately the first year (1933) production barrels. The longer ramp with the sight hood groove was used for the remainder of the Model 65 production.
The “transitional” ramp sight on the Model 65 that you added to your collection is the early short style, but it has a milled groove for a sight hood!
