I have a 64 standard rifle for your survey Bert. #1315363, 32 WS, Type 7 tang marking, Second type hammer. Let me know if you need more info.
Is the muzzle flat, or crowned? The PR date is 1/15/42. If you are willing, it would be nice to know what the barrel date is.
Thanks!

Bert,
Here is an entry for the Model 64 survey: Serial # 1091974, standard, 32 W.S., 24″ barrel, flat muzzle, 2nd model hammer, type 6 tang marking, semi-buckhorn barrel mounted rear sporting sight, metal butt plate, circle WP proof marks on receiver and barrel, no hood on front sight, no sling swivels, no D&T on receiver side/top. no “W” below serial number.
I’ll need coaching to access and view barrel date.

Bert, for your late 94/64 survey. I just picked up a fine 1952 Model 64 standard 30-30Win #1887126 no tang markings (of course), Late Serrated Hammer type, muzzle is crowned.
Hey, I just recently got a early M71. Do you have any of this particular ammo for sale? Big Larry
Mac,
Thank you kindly for the Model 64 survey information. Viewing the barrel date requires removing the magazine tube and forend stock. Not something I would recommend unless you are comfortable with disassembling it. The serial number tells me that it was manufactured in September of 1933.
