My dad & I are both left handed, I grew up shooting Marlins & rh bolts. I bought a lh 700 .270 on a whim and it was a game changer. My dad has it now. The Steyr & Husky are my only rh guns now just b/c I like the imagery of early 20th century hunts. I had a Marlin guide gun that was pretty nice despite being made by Remington but traded it for a uberti 73 carbine. I had a bad experience of having to disassemble my Texan when the an ftx tip came off and locked up the whole action so I stick with round nose bullets. We both have 1886s, mine’s a Browning carbine .45-70 & his a new Miroku short rifle in .45-90. It’ll get your attention with 86 level handloads.
