Bert do you have ser # 40710 ?AG
No we do not, as it is way too early for the survey Mark and I are conducting. We are only collecting information for serial numbers 146000 – 160000. The CFM has the records for serial number 40710.

Is anyone aware of a survey on the 1886 by Jesi & John Hawk?AG
It is my understanding that the survey was John Madl, John Hawke, with Jesi overlooking the process. I used to run into John at the Research office quite frequently when he and John Hawke were working on it.

Ok thanks Bert. I was just advised by John Madl that Jesi and John Hawk did a more recent computer search of the 1886 for HEAVIER THAN STANDARD barrels so I was wondering if anyone else had seen it.

It could not have been “recently”, as John Hawke has not been in the Cody area for the past several years. He once worked as a volunteer research assistant, but retired from doing that and moved to the east coast several years ago. The odds are extremely high that if John Madl has not seen the survey, nobody outside of the research office has seen it. I would give Jesi a call and ask her about it.
