Is it possible to get a letter from Winchester with some background info on my 1941 model 94? If so what kind of info can I expect?  Thanks

All “letters” are created and issued by the Cody Firearms Museum (CFM) records office.  “Winchester” ceased providing factory records in 1976.

A CFM letter for a 1941 production Model 94 Carbine will only have the date the serial number was applied to the receiver frame, no other information is available (records do not exist).  That stated, by the year 1941, Winchester was manufacturing just one variation of the Model 94 (a Sporting Carbine), and just three calibers were available (25-35 WCF, 30 WCF, and 32 WS).  Special order features were very limited and quite uncommon.
