Currently for sale at https://www.gunbroker.com/item/1149964299

30 WCF. Only unusual markings are “J.C.’17” below serial number 838731. Lyman tang sight, ladder rear sight and blade(?) front sight.

Here’s a discussion regarding the same gun.  Highest condition authentic spruce gun I’ve seen except for that extra hole right smack in the middle of the top tang.

They were either marked jc 17 on the bottom or on the top of the reciever with US and a flaming bomb typically on either side  of the Winchester proof mark

Good Eye, and it most likely is not original to that SRC.
