Here is a Winchester shipping crate that I just picked up at a collectibles show in the Chicago area. Since the Model 1897 designation was changed to Model 97 in 1921 I’m guessing that this is from the 1900’s – 1910’s time frame. Box currently has 4 small antique metal castors and an improvised top to make it into a coffee table. There are no inside partitions.
Will deliver to the Colorado Gun Collectors Show in Denver coming up or the WACA Cody Show in July or the Big Reno Show in November. Box can also be picked up the the Calif. bay area or Bend, OR area. Price: $400
