Does anyone here focus on the Winchester 1964 “transition” advertising or items?

I most certainly do not.  That stated, there were several different Winchester Models that are of interest to many… e.g. the Model 94 Commemorative editions, the Model 94 Big Bores, the Model 9422, and “Y” series Model 12s.  I suspect that as we continue to get further away from the “1964” debacle, there will be more interest in them.

Bert

p.s. I am still looking for an original blued steel platinum lined Rocky Mountain front sight!

Hi Bert…  I have something rather unique, scarce, that Winchester used to announce the “new models” that needs to find the right home… it’s big and will need to be shipped…

I have your sight on my hunt list.  I’ll be at Las Vegas next month and will keep my eyes open.

I’ll show it when a verified WACA member (prior to this posting) says they want it… :)….   It will be “free” but the shipping will be around $100…. :)….  I’ve had it for the last 35 years sitting on a shelf… I had two and sold one to a Winchester collector here in Spokane a few years back…I got them from John Barlett, a former Winchester Factory Regional sales rep… thought it would be a “fun” pay it forward & interesting way to start the new year.

I will need to verify that it still functions before I ship it…  come on, somebody has to be curious enough to say “I’ll take it”?…… 🙂

I would even deliver it to Reno in April, Greeley in May or Cody this coming July…. for free….

It’s about 24″ long, 18″ high and 14″ deep.  It weighs about 30 pounds.  I would guarantee that you would be the only person on your block with one, unless you lived by Bill Bean in Spokane.  And if Bert takes it, I will add another very interesting item (leather bound) that came from John….  gotta be a little tempting….

Ben,

If you find the RM front sight for me, I will add (1) extra Ben Franklin for the as of yet “unknown” item.

I am well acquainted with Bill.

Come on Bert…. just say you’ll take it… 🙂  It doesn’t bite… doesn’t eat… it just sits on a counter… you do have to plug it in… it might just cause you to go over to the “dark side” of post 64 products!  Here’s a “pre-view” pic for Clarence.  If I recall correctly, there are still relevant MAGI-cartridges in the case too…..

so no takers… ok. Tough crowd….  I’ll haul it to Greeley or Cody and put it on my table for sale.  It’s a factory salesman’s counter top color movie projector… w/ sound and built in screen.  It comes with interchangeable “cassette” movies Winchester made to promote their new shotguns & rifles.

So it projects to the back of the screen?  Similar to the 25 yr old tube TV I’m STILL using (with a spare waiting if & when it gives up the ghost).  I might have seen one of the films, which featured a noted sportsman, or celebrity of some kind, explaining how the “new” 70 was superior to the old one, shot outdoors; sound familiar?  It’s really a great item (as long as it keeps working!), for someone with the space to set it up.

correct… it’s a self contained unit.  And “space” is the issue…. 🙂
