I found a WACA Brass Belt Buckle at the Woodstock Ontario Gun-Show a while back in excellent condition.

It’s oval shaped, roughly 2 1/4″ x 3″ in size, on the back there is a small sticker that reads, The name WINCHESTER is used with permission and to the credit of the Olin Corp.

Does anyone know approximately when these were produced and maybe how many were made ? – it’s the only one I’ve ever seen.

Thanks. D.

Until I saw your post , hadn’t thought much of the two I scored at an auction.

They came in a mixed lot of hats and other buckles.

One of mine has markings on the back, the other completely void of any markings at all…

We should create these again. I would definitely  buy some.

Update – for what it’s worth…..

So, I flipped around through the back issues of the WACA Magazine and from what I can see the last offering of the Bronze Oval Buckle was

Spring of 1999 @ $28.50 and there was also a Solid Silver Buckle listed for $150.00

I have no idea if the Silver Buckle was the same shape and design or not – If anyone has one it would be nice to see a photo.

The “For Sale” listings were print only and no photos and I observed them in the Magazine from the Mid 90’s to Spring 1999, no idea when they were first

offered (yet ) or what photo’s were displayed.
