Here is a very interesting video on the restoration of a “Bear Hunting Dogs” AD lithograph poster designed by H.R. Poore.

I know we don’t look too kindly on restoration of firearms but when it comes to vintage paper ephemera like this, it truly is paramount for preserving history.
I think they did a beautiful job and glad to see it properly done so.
Sincerely,
Maverick

Maverick,
I also think it’s an important restoration, of an advertising piece, that I wouldn’t classify as a firearm restoration either. I agree with you as far as restoring it, and not getting it confused, with restoring a firearm.
Thanks for sharing!

Wow do I agree with that! Leaving that piece as found – or, “all original and untouched” would have what point?

A lot of skill, work and patience went into that project. Not unlike a faithful restoration of a Winchester. Someday a good restoration of the Winchesters we love will have a broader appeal. I hope to see that day but I’ll always love an honest gun with character.

Supper cool video, thanks for sharing. The skill, creativity, and patience that goes into that and similar types of work is admirable.
