I have a box with a couple of cartridges that look to me like 44 Henry Flat from Gevelot / France.

What do you think about it? Am I right?

The guy to talk to about these is Lou Behling.  PM me and I’ll give you some contact info.

They are 44 Henry flat made in France by the SFM (ex Gevelot), most certainly for export to South America.

The SFM also made the CF version of the 44 Henry flat (for the same end customers)

Thank you for the info.
Do you know how old is the box?
Have you ever seen a box in 44 Henry Center Fire?

I have an M1866 in CF and the ammo for it are still missing in my collection.

Greetings from Germany

Here is a picture of some Henry rounds and a center fire 66 round. I have never seen a box for the center fires.

I find this very interesting, as I have a pretty extensive .44 Flat Rim Fire Collection.

I would go to Gun Shows yrs. ago and try to buy all I could find, in this ammo.

Crazy, I know! Once again, different strokes!

I’ve never seen or heard of this ammo, or it’s box! Pretty Cool! Thanks for sharing!Smile

Limestone, I had a very long conversation with Lou Behling some time ago and was very surprised to find out about how many companies made the 44 rim fire that I had never heard of.  He is working on a paper covering this ammo.  He made it sound like it was not far from publication.

Manual, what is the head stamp on the center fire?  Do you know who made these?

So these might be the same company as the ones Steff has just with a headstamp?
