I have a bronze by Bob Scriver that is titled "The Winchester Rider". These were sold by the Buffalo Bill museum in Cody in the late 70’s. They were supposed to make and sell 250 of these but I think they fell short. Does anybody know how many actually got made? Mine is a very low number and the latest that I have seen was around 170. I have contacted the museum but they don’t seem to have much information. I rarely see one of these come up for sale and there is not much info about this bronze. They are a true work of art and I consider it the center piece of my collection! They also made some in solid silver but I have never seen one and I would think that just a few of them got sold!

David,
You replied to a topic that is more than 3-years old, and you asked to be emailed back, but did not provide an email address ??

Wow, that would look good in my front yard. I wonder what something like that would cost?
The price isn’t what kills you, its the price of getting it off the ground…onto a trailer…to your home …and off the trailer. I remember the sum of around 20k when I inquired about the bronze’s price last spring. I know it would look good in front of my gun shed.

Pretty sure your old red truck can pull it, Bert. A wrecker with an extendable boom should be able to load and unload it for you, just need to make a sling. Hopefully the horse & rider are hollow otherwise it will be very top heavy and difficult to secure for transport.
