Bought one of these shotguns new a week before the duck season opened.Did not have a chance to clean it or try it out before the duck season opened.Was able to bag four black ducks on opening day.First time I was able to get out again was this morning.Bagged another black duck.It was the only duck that flew from daylight ,till I left at 9:40.
Five ducks with 7 shots .That’s pretty good for me.
I am very pleased with how the Winchester SX3 works ,handles and feels.
Anyone else using one of these self loading guns?

I had a SX-2 and I simply could not shoot that shotgun. something did not fit right for me. I believe it was the comb being to high. I went back to my trusty old 3.5″ BPS. Glad yours is working out for ya.

I wonder what the difference is between the SX2 and SX3?I have seen and used the SX1 and SX3,but have never seen or used a SX2.

I haven’t tried any of the New Winchester Shotguns. Here is an interesting YouTube video of a guy with a malfunction. He says its a SXP.
I’m still satisfied with Remington 870 when it comes to day in day out hunting. Have used an original 97 on some dove hunts, but not on waterfowl. 2-1/2″ steel shot shells are hard to come by.

Interesting video.I wonder if it is just this gun or all of them have this fault?I am thinking it is just this gun as there are a lot of Model 1200,1300,2200,120,Speed Pump and now the SXP Pumps out there.If they all did it ,I would think there would be a large out cry and probably a law suit by now.All these guns use the same action with different finish on the wood and metal.The older guns were made in the old Winchester plant.The new ones in Turkey.
I believe the Model 2200 was assembled in Canada and used Canadian hard wood stocks and forends .At least that’s what it states in an old Winchester/Cooey catalogue I have.It was a less expensive version of the Model 1200.
The Winchester Super-X Model 3 is made in Belgium and assembled in Portugal. It is the same action as the Browning Silver.

Out this morning for a duck hunt with the Winchester SX3.Only three black ducks flew and I was unable to call them in close enough for a shot.

Out for awhile today with the Winchester SX3.Scared five blackducks.Two in the first group and three in the second.Although they were a bit on the long side I fired a shot at the first group.No luck.Everything else was too far away to even try a shot on.
