Just loaded a bunch of 40-70 with 24 grains of 4198, and lead bullet. Only shoot paper, love to clean the old guns with Hoppes. #9 Embarassed Bill

Ron, 40 Old brass from REM/UMC, and 407 320 from Buffalo arms. Montana bullet works and Missouri have cheaper lead, but high minimum quantity–Bill
