While we’re in the subject (sort of), I’m looking for a 1B sight elevator. Original or Repo. Anyone know of a source??

Hi Chuck

If you are changing it for shooting, anything that you like with the same dovetail size should work.

I know, but didn’t the 95 use the same sight on the front that another model used?  Like the standard sporting sight on the 1892?

Hi Chuck

I believe the sights with a narrow base were often found with a ramp.  You can see dimensions on page 200 of the 1895 book.  I’m not very familiar with what was used on a Model 1892.  I hope that helps.
