Definitely pricey. But hard to find. Just figured I’d post them up here for those looking.

I have a RCBS 50-110 set that I purchased on e bay quite a few years ago.Just forget what I paid for them, but cheaper than $250,even though I remember they were not cheap for the time.I doubt 50-110 die sets  were ever cheap ,for the era they were purchased in.:)

Nice to see that they still can be purchased.Have not seen a RCBS 50-110 die set for sale in quite awhile.Does RCBS still make 50-110 dies?

They don’t….CH is the only place that I am aware of and they aren’t making until until March of 2023 I guess. I’d much rather have RCBS or Redding dies over the Hornady!

Thanks for that,Travis.Do you know if RCBS is still making dies for the older Winchester calibres such as 38-56,40-82,38-72,40-70,etc.?

Have you priced the 1894 Tool in 50 Express lately?

When comparing it the Hornday dies, Hornday is a steal!

Sincerely,

Maverick

No.  They only make the best sellers like 44 WCf and 45-70 etc.  The new owners shut down the shop that used to make most anything, including parts for the RCBS line of tools.   Contact Hornady or Redding to see if they will make a custom set or wait a couple years to get a CH4D.  Buy Donnelley’s cartridge conversion book and see how to make these from something else.

Thanks for that,Chuck.I do have the Donnelly book.I had heard that since RCBS had new owners ,they were not the company they use to be.Appears that is sad ,but true.:(

Does any one know who owns RCBS at the present time?Is the quality the same or has it suffered under the hew owners?

Redding does make a lot of odd calibers for us but they are hard to get. I did get a set of 33 and 38-56 dies from them but I found them in the UK.

I’m pretty sure Federal owns them now…I have tons of their dies and I think they are well made. I prefer the Reddings but I have four kids to feed so I buy RCBS if I can lol
