Just eye-balling it, I’d guess 45-50 Peabody (45 Sporting).
If not it, likely another Peabody cartridge.

Looks like a Peabody, however those dimensions don’t match. I have:Neck Dia .478
Base Dia .516
book has both case length and cartridge length as 2.08 so one of them is a typo.
Cartridges of the World 17th edition.
Also states .45-55 Turkish carbine is similar in looks.
I enjoy these cartridge threads! Needed to order a part today and the 17th Edition was less than $30 on Amazon, cheap for a reference book. New edition coming out January 2026. My little reference library simply wasn’t complete without it, no idea why I didn’t pick one up years ago. Thanks, Steven!

No I think he’s on the right track. The only way I know to determine if they were made by WRACo would be to dissect one and see what type of primer it has.

But I also question the accuracy of the dimensions given. How is the Neck diameter wider than the Rim?

Due to my inherent inability to read micrometers and unable to read my own writing I offer the following revised average figures for the 3 cartridges.
bullet dia. : 0.448
neck dia. : 0.476
shoulder : 0.539
base : 0.578
rim dia. : 0.665
rim thick. : 0.645
case length : 1.97
cart. length: 2.450
Every thing seems okay except cartridge length. Maybe because of flat point bullets
Hope to hear info regarding these and value as I don’t need them. Don
