I have an almost new condition 9922 lever action with upgraded walnut. It was my father’s gun he acquired while in the gun vault at the FBI academy in Quantico. I think he had a personal relationship with the president of Winchester during the 70’s, when the FBI were using their rifles for snipers. He got it from him.
It’s been shot less than 20 times. It’s been in a gun cabinet all this time well oiled.
The serial number is F95437. I am almost sure it was manufactured in 1972 but not absolutely sure.
Any idea what it’s worth?

Hello Larry,
The serial number you mention on your Model 9422 indicates that it was manufactured mid-year 1973.
We need to see clear detailed pictures of the rifle to assess. Are the stocks checkered?
