Very nice…  I’m jealous.  I’ve been trying to find one to put away.  I did pick up a nice Anschutz 54 Sporter yesterday, but I’m still on the hunt for a 75 Sporter…

Not a Winchester sling, but sometimes you cannot have it all. Not a GI sling either. Boyt did make the 1907 GI slings and dated most. The Kerrs were widely used as well.

You done good on that rifle, now, don’t poke any holes in it. Big Larry

Thanks Larry. Definitely won’t be poking any holes in it. Might poke a few holes with it though.

I’d rather have a marked Boyt than an unmarked Winchester sourced who knows where.  Boyt also made a trainload of 1911 holsters.

Clarence,

What vintage do you think the Boyt sling is?

Really no way to know that for sure, but would assume it was put on soon after the gun was purchased.
