I assume that Winchester never serialised any of the Winchester Models 69 or 69A? Can I please confirm this is the case? Cheers Mal791E980C-AA74-4D63-9977-654B702DD150.jpeg

Winchester did apply numbers to rifles that were exported to several countries but that is not the style or location that they used.  I have never seen a number in that location on a 69A.  Maybe a club or rack number?
